Where Can I Repair My Jse Speakers?

Hullo all. Starting time post for me. I bought a pair of JS Engineering speakers today at a garage sale. 20 dollars. The model on the dorsum says infinite gradient. Later searching like crazy, I've plant they are Model .8. Each enclosure houses Dual 8" Vifa woofers with rubber surrounds and a Vifa tweeter. No bass port.
Unfortunately a tweeter is blown. It is model D26TG-35 06. I'g not certain if I should replace the tweeters or source new diaphragms. There's Vifa D27TG-35 06's available at parts express, but I'yard not certain this is the right move. Should I be trying to notice diaphragms instead? I have constitute the D26's are discontinued.

Are these as adept as the 3-four-5 + way Infinite Slope speakers? I do know mine are rare, but that doesn't mean very skillful.

Nice pickup.
I had the JSE 1.0 with a 10" Seas woofer, 8" Focal mid woofer and a nice Dynaudio tweeter.
The crossover an amazing labyrinth of components and probably accounted for the speakers low sensitivity.
Properly powered were very skilful sounding.
Y'all can obtain a pair of those Vifa tweeters on Ebay.

I'd go the easy route and buy the tweeters.
Cheers. For fifty bux I'll take the shot with the new tweeters. Any idea what these cost new? Amidst the zoo of speakers and amps I accept, the best is a HK AVR430. It does 80 per ch. in stereo. Hopefully it will work well enough.
JSE speakers are rather prissy and fairly rare. Super find in my book.

Finally got the replacement tweeters in. Wow. I recollect these just changed my world a chip. They sound better than anything I've heard to date. Bass plays low, only with no peakiness and resonance. Soundstage is HUGE. I've never had speakers that make me close my eyes when I play them. Information technology'southward practically involuntary.

For reasons that elude me, the infinite slope crossover seems to remove the indigestible sound that all other box speakers I've heard have, in one way or another. One of just ii pairs of speakers that my family regrets the auction of -- loud hosannas followed all other sales, merely the JSE/Infinite Slopes and the Boaks led to reproaches. And I know why, even if I thought the sales made sense at the time.
Here's some more pics. From my listening, I've figured out these are a 2 1/2 way ( I think ). The acme woofer plays way up to the tweeter, just the lesser just plays about half the frequency range of the top woofer.

I recollect you got an awesome set of speakers there. The Idiot box screen will create imaging issues for y'all, as its a early reflection point too close to the plane of the drivers. But as far as a speaker, you have done really well. Talk to Madisound about a possible replacement tweeter, they have a skillful substitution list. If you can find the stock diaphragm that would be really cool. Otherwise those speakers expect to be in great shape. Best of luck!
